BMW Maintenance Program – Standard MPU

2017 Model Year & Newer Vehicles
All BMW vehicles from the 2017 model year and newer sold or leased by an authorized BMW center come standard with BMW Ultimate Care for the first 3 years or 36,000 miles (whichever comes first). This includes maintenance items as indicated by CBS data and outlined in the vehicle’s Maintenance booklet:

  • Engine Oil
  • Engine Filter
  • Brake Fluid
  • Cabin Micro Filter(s)
  • Engine Air Filter(s)
  • Spark Plugs
  • Remote Control/Key Battery
  • Vehicle Check
  • Fuel Filter (Diesel engines only)

BMW Ultimate Care benefits apply exclusively to the initial purchaser, owner, or lessee of a new vehicle, sales demonstrator vehicle, Aftersales Mobility Program (AMP) vehicle, or BMW Group company vehicle from an authorized BMW center in the U.S. (including Puerto Rico). This coverage is non-transferable.

Optional Maintenance Program Upgrade (MPU)

BMW offers optional upgrade packages to extend maintenance coverage for eligible vehicles:

  • Ultimate Care+
    • Ultimate Care+1: 12 months or 14,000 miles
    • Ultimate Care+2: 24 months or 39,000 miles
    • Ultimate Care+3: 36 months or 64,000 miles
    • Ultimate Care+4: 48 months or 89,000 miles

2015-2016 Model Year Vehicles

For vehicles sold or leased on or after July 1, 2014, BMW Maintenance Program provides coverage for the first 4 years or 50,000 miles (whichever comes first). Coverage applies exclusively to the initial owner or lessee and is non-transferable.

Optional MPU

Owners may purchase a Maintenance Program Upgrade to extend the coverage by an additional:

  • 1 Year (12 months) or 25,000 miles
  • 2 Years (24 months) or 50,000 miles
  • 3 Years (36 months) or 75,000 miles

2015 & Earlier Model Year Vehicles

For vehicles sold or leased before July 1, 2014, maintenance coverage applies to the first:

  • 4 Years (48 months) or 50,000 miles (whichever occurs first).

The coverage period begins on:

  1. First retail sale or lease, or
  2. First placement into service (as a sales demonstrator, company vehicle, or Aftersales Mobility vehicle).

BMW Tire and Wheel Protection

BMW offers comprehensive protection for your tires and wheels, including:

Coverage Highlights

  • Tire Replacement for damage caused by road hazards (e.g., glass, metal, potholes, nails).
  • Coverage includes run-flat tires (no plugging or patching).
  • Wheel Replacement if road hazard damage prevents proper sealing.
  • Associated costs, including labor, mounting, balancing, valve stems, tire disposal, and taxes.
  • Towing Reimbursement up to $100 for road hazard damage.

Important Coverage Information

  • $50 deductible per claim applies.
  • Coverage exclusions include:
    • Cosmetic damage to tires.
    • Damage caused by vandalism.
    • Damage to tires with less than 3/32” tread depth at the lowest point.

Cosmetic Repair Option

Includes repair for:

  • Nicks, scrapes, and curb rash on wheels (limited to sanding, painting, and refinishing without additional material or straightening).

Availability

  • Available for new, used, and Certified Pre-Owned (CPO) BMW vehicles.
  • Can be purchased as part of a BMW Protection Package or as a stand-alone product.
  • Replacement parts are covered for the remainder of the contract term.

If Damage Occurs

  • Services may be completed at any BMW Center in the U.S. or Canada.
  • Your tires and wheels will be replaced using OEM and OEM-approved parts.
  • Coverage continues even if you replace your tires.
