BMW STEP certification

Every technician at BMW of South Atlanta has graduated the BMW Service Technician Education Program (STEP) — the factory-run apprenticeship that BMW of North America requires for warranty work. Independent shops can rotate tires and change oil; STEP techs are the ones who diagnose iDrive, recalibrate driver-assist cameras, and pull fault codes BMW's diagnostic systems generate.

Vs. Global Imports BMW (Buckhead). If you live in Buckhead or Midtown, Global Imports is the geographically obvious pick. If you live south of I-20 — College Park, East Point, Stockbridge, Newnan, Peachtree City, Fayetteville, or Henry County — the I-285 traffic into Buckhead is the actual cost. South Atlanta is meaningfully closer for southside addresses.

Vs. United BMW (Alpharetta). United serves the GA-400 corridor and is the right pick north of I-285. For Southside customers who fly out of Hartsfield-Jackson regularly, the airport math is meaningful: roughly 29 miles to the airport vs 7.5 miles changes whether the Park'N Ticket service-while-you-fly program is feasible.

Vs. Nalley BMW of Decatur. Nalley serves I-285 East and Decatur — same i Series capability as the rest of the network. The choice between Nalley Decatur and South Atlanta comes down to which side of Downtown you commute on.
